trevone sea pool on a clear day

Sea pools are always a joy, and the UK has plenty to offer, whether this is in the form of man-made tidal pools or perfectly formed natural pools such as Trevone.

This Cornish gem, situated to the west of Padstow on the north Cornwall coast, is a brilliantly tranquil sea pool that is large enough for wild swimmers to take a dip in once the tide has receded.

Accessing the pool is generally straightforward, though do take care if you’re visiting just after low tide as the rocks around the pool will still be wet.

The pool is know locally as “Tinker Bunny’s Bathing Pool”, and has a brilliant community Facebook group where swimmers regularly post photos and updates of their wild swimming jaunts.
