Bare Hill Lakes is a lovely little spot in the Northamptonshire countryside just south Daventry that offers managed open water swimming sessions as well as paddleboarding.
Nestled on the River Nene, you can book a slot all year round in free-flowing water that is regularly tested for cleanliness.

By public transport
The nearest train station to Bare Hill lakes is Banbury, which is quite a way south.
However if you’re coming from Banbury you can catch the 200 bus from Banbury Bus Station and get off at the village of Badby (approx 50 minutes), which is a 5 minute walk from Bare Hill Lakes.
By bike
