Situated a few miles north of the pretty Worcestershire market town of Evesham, the Lenches Lakes offer open water swimming sessions all year round.

The lakes consist of two separate lakes covering an area of around 3 acres within the gorgeous Worcestershire countryside. The site is private and offer activities such as camping and fly fishing as well as open water swimming.

You will have to book in advance on their website and they allocate spaces for up to 30 swimmers per session. How to Get to the Lenches Lakes

By car

Enter the postcode WR11 4UB into your sat nav, which will take you to the lakes. There is free parking for visitors.

By public transport

There are ways in which you can get to the Lenches Lakes by public transport, though the means are somewhat convoluted so it may be best to get a taxi from Evesham station if you’re getting in by train.

The X50 bus (to Worcester) will take you to nearby Pershore in about 15 minutes, where you’ll have to change onto the 564 bus (Inkberrow) and then alight at Chaston Close after about 20 minutes, and then shop over to the 564 heading back in the direction of Evesham, alighting at Handgate Farm after another 25 or so minutes. The lakes are about a 10 minute walk north up Evesham Road from here.

As we say, it’s best either driving or getting a cab!
