Ludlow is a gorgeous medieval market town in Shropshire not far from the Welsh border with its impressive Norman era castle looming over it.

Luckily for wild swimmers, the River Teme runs right through the western edge of the town and presents a few easy to reach wild swimming spots that lie just south of the bridge by the Millenium Green before you reach the historic Ludford Bridge.

There can be a bit of a current and some of the small pontoons that lead to the water can be occupied by fishers so do take care, but if you walk through the pathed woodland connected to the Millenium Green in an eastward direction you should find somewhere suitable for a dip.
