Wild Swimming Locations in Yorkshire

The region of Yorkshire & the Humber encapsulates, unsurprisingly, the four separate counties that make up Yorkshire as a whole, that being South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire.

Known as “God’s Own Country”, the Yorkshire region is huge and features a vast and varying topography that includes major cities such as Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, York and Hull as well as stunningly dramatic countryside, hills, and ravines in areas such as the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and of course its own beautiful coastline.

There are plenty of wild swimming spots in Yorkshire & the Humber in the form of rivers, waterfalls, lakes and reservoirs, with the region being large and rural enough to find secluded spots wherever you are.
